Youth Angels Program
Young Hands. Caring Hearts. Serving Generations.
Two generations. One greater purpose. Youth Angels pairs young volunteers with seniors and isolated neighbors — creating friendships that give both generations something they can't find anywhere else.
Two Generations. One Greater Purpose.
What Each Generation Brings
This isn't charity. It's an exchange. Youth Angels don't just give — they receive wisdom, stories, and perspective that no classroom can teach. And the seniors they visit gain energy, connection, and a reason to share everything they've learned.
YOUTH BRING
- ›Energy and enthusiasm
- ›Tech help and patience
- ›Fresh perspective
- ›Genuine curiosity
- ›Time and presence
SENIORS GIVE
- ›Decades of wisdom
- ›Life stories and history
- ›Practical skills
- ›Perspective and patience
- ›Unconditional encouragement
What Youth Angels Do
Simple Acts. Lasting Impact.
Youth Angels don't need special skills — just a willing heart. Every visit, every errand, every shared game is a thread in a relationship that matters deeply to both people.
Friendly Visits
Sit, talk, and simply be present. Sometimes the greatest gift is showing up.
Tech Help
Help with phones, tablets, video calls, and apps — with patience and no judgment.
Reading Together
Read aloud, share books, or help with mail, forms, and correspondence.
Games & Activities
Cards, board games, puzzles, crafts — play is ageless and deeply connecting.
Light Errands
Grocery runs, pharmacy pickups, and small tasks that make a big difference.
Letters & Cards
Write and send cards to isolated seniors who rarely receive mail.
Garden & Yard Help
Light outdoor tasks that keep a home feeling cared for and alive.
Music & Stories
Share music, listen to life stories, and help preserve memories that matter.
What Seniors Give Back
The Gift Flows Both Ways
Every senior has a lifetime of knowledge, skill, and story. Youth Angels discover mentors, not just recipients — and that changes everything about how they see the world.
Life Wisdom
Decades of navigating hardship, joy, loss, and love — lessons no book can teach.
Practical Skills
Cooking, gardening, woodworking, sewing — hands-on knowledge passed person to person.
Historical Memory
Living history from eras young people only read about. Stories that anchor identity.
Unconditional Encouragement
Seniors often become the most consistent, genuine cheerleaders in a young person's life.
Patience & Perspective
A calming presence that helps young volunteers slow down and see what truly matters.
Faith & Resilience
How to endure, how to forgive, how to find meaning — modeled, not just spoken.
Teach Me Something
The Teach Me Something Moment
Every Youth Angel visit includes a simple invitation: 'Teach me something.' It might be a recipe, a card game, a life lesson, or a story from 60 years ago. That one question transforms a visit into a mentorship.
She taught me how to make her mother's bread recipe. I've made it every Thanksgiving since. That's not volunteering — that's family.
How It Works
How a Youth Angel Visit Works
Match & Prepare
We match youth volunteers with seniors based on location, interests, and availability. Every volunteer receives orientation and safety training before their first visit.
First Visit
An adult Angel Leader accompanies the first visit. Youth and senior meet, share a little about themselves, and discover what they have in common.
Regular Visits
Visits happen weekly or bi-weekly — in person, by phone, or video call. Consistency is the key. Showing up reliably is the whole point.
Grow Together
Over time, visits deepen into genuine friendship. Youth earn service hours, seniors gain connection, and both are changed by the relationship.
The Team Model
Three Roles. One Team.
Youth Angels operates through a three-tier team model that ensures every young volunteer is supported, every senior is safe, and every visit is meaningful.
AGES 12–14
Junior Angels
Paired with a Senior Angel for every visit. Learn the ropes, build confidence, and discover the joy of service under gentle guidance.
AGES 15–18
Senior Angels
Lead visits independently or mentor Junior Angels. Take on more responsibility and develop real leadership through service.
ADULT VOLUNTEERS
Angel Leaders
Adult volunteers who coordinate visits, support youth, and ensure every senior receives consistent, safe, quality companionship.
Angel Saturdays
Angel Saturdays
Once a month, Youth Angels gather for Angel Saturday — a coordinated day of visits, group activities, and community building. Teams visit multiple seniors, share a meal, and reflect together on what they're learning.
- WHEN
- First Saturday of each month, 9am–1pm
- WHO
- All Youth Angels and their Angel Leaders
- WHAT
- Group visits, shared activities, reflection, and lunch together
- HOURS
- 4 service hours credited per Angel Saturday
- LOCATION
- Rotating — senior centers, care facilities, and private homes
Safety & Boundaries
Safe. Supervised. Supported.
Every Youth Angel is trained, supervised, and supported. We take the safety of both our young volunteers and the seniors they serve with complete seriousness.
NOTICE
If something feels wrong, trust that feeling. Youth Angels are trained to recognize when a senior may need more help than a visit can provide.
TELL
Always tell your Angel Leader. No concern is too small. We would rather hear about something that turns out to be nothing than miss something that matters.
CONNECT
We connect seniors who need more support to AngelMichael's full network of resources — from the Heaven Concierge to the donation marketplace.
OUR COMMITMENTS

- ✓Seniors and their families can pause or end visits at any time, no questions asked
Connected to the Full Mission
When a Senior Needs More Than a Visit
Youth Angels are often the first to notice when a senior needs deeper support — a meal, a ride, help with bills, or someone to navigate a crisis. When that happens, we connect them to the Heaven Concierge, AngelMichael's full-service support network.
Faith in Action
Rooted in Something Larger
Youth Angels is a faith-inspired program. We believe that serving across generations is one of the most ancient and sacred acts a community can practice — and that young people who learn to honor their elders carry that reverence for the rest of their lives.
"Rise in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly and revere your God."
LEVITICUS 19:32
Adult Angel Leaders
Lead the Next Generation of Servants
Adult Angel Leaders are the backbone of the Youth Angels program. They mentor young volunteers, coordinate visits, and model what it looks like to serve with consistency, compassion, and joy. If you're an adult who wants to invest in young people while serving seniors, this is your role.

Two Generations. One Greater Purpose.
The World Changes One Visit at a Time.
A young person shows up. An elder opens the door. Something shifts in both of them. That's Youth Angels. That's AngelMichael. That's what we're building together.
